L’autore della gran parte degli articoli è Filippo Celata, professore associato di geografia all’Università La Sapienza. Dopo aver passato buona parte della sua vita a spiegare che i geografi non sono coloro che disegnano le carte geografiche, o almeno non solo, o non necessariamente… ha deciso di lasciar perdere e dedicare la restante parte della sua vita a disegnare carte geografiche.. Perché nessuna forma di comunicazione scientifica è più efficace, immediata, sintetica, evocativa, potente, bella. Perché se quella attuale è l’epoca dell’informazione buona parte di questa informazione è geografica e non aspetta altro che qualcuno gli insegni a raccontare la propria storia. |

Filippo Celata is the author of most of the articles, and is associate professor in geography at the University of Rome La Sapienza. After having spent most of his life explaining that geographers are not those who draw maps, or not only, not necessarily.. he decided to give up and spend the remaining part of his life drawing maps.. Because no other mean of scientific communication is more effective, immediate, synthetic, evocative, powerful, beautiful.
Because if we live in the era of information, a good part of this information is geographical and lays out there waiting for someone to teach it to tell its story.
